Monthly Book Club

Let’s get our book club started with a great read from Daniel Pink which delves into the subject of selling and concludes that we all do it and that it’s just a basic human skill – one we’re actually honing all the time, without even realising it.

To Sell Is Human is the first of many books we will read in the Thriver Circle and it’s a great place to start as it’s a practical look at selling, the one fundamental thing we all need to have in common to run a successful business… and something that many of us struggle with, because of how we perceive it.

You can purchase it online or just check it out of your local library sometime over the following month. We’ll then all discuss it on the Facebook forum in the last week of this month.

If you are struggling to get your hands on a copy, it’s also available on Kindle which you can also download to some phones and devices.

I can’t wait to get started!

“According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, one in nine Americans works in sales. Every day more than fifteen million people earn their keep by persuading someone else to make a purchase.

But dig deeper and a startling truth emerges:

Yes, one in nine Americans works in sales. But so do the other eight.

Whether we’re employees pitching colleagues on a new idea, entrepreneurs enticing funders to invest, or parents and teachers cajoling children to study, we spend our days trying to move others. Like it or not, we’re all in sales now.” (blurb from amazon.com)
