What do you make? I'm a bead stringer and make OOAK jewellery.
My passion is contemporary tribal jewellery but I also use gemstones, pearls and other natural materials to create necklaces and bracelets with a bit of an edge!
I use Fair Trade and local components where possible and make everything myself.

More About Me I'm an ex teacher (for 37 years), wife, Mum to 3 adult children who all live thousands of miles away and have 3 little grandsons who I could just eat!
My jewellery business started by accident nearly 3 years ago but once I decided to give it a go there has been no looking back and I love it.
I love ( there's that word again - I forgot to say I am a passionate person) interior design, travel, ethnic jewellery and anything to do with food, wine and music. Nature restores my soul and travel feeds my gypsy soul.
I'm also going to give painting another go this year as I've dabbled in painting gigantic abstracts in the past but haven't had the time to do anything for a couple of years because I've been completely obsessed by beads and business!
I feel utterly blessed to have such a fabulous new career opportunity at my age (57) and despite banging my head against a wall sometimes and working harder than ever I feel incredibly grateful for the new friendships, flexibility and creative outlet Birdie Hill has given me.
I love my new life!
My areas of expertise that apply to handmade business: An inquiring mind, an open heart, a desire to help people be the best they can be and a "never give up" attitude.
It probably helps to be a little bit "arty" and a risk taker!
