| What do you make? | I work with sheet metal like Pewter, Copper and coloured craft metal. I make anything from jewelry to functional / decorative art that can be used in and around the house. As well as doing commissions for personalized pieces such as wine bottle labels for weddings or anniversaries. My main source of income at the moment are from teaching my skills and techniques in demonstrative group workshops. |

| More About Me | Metalistic (adjective): a condition that occurs when metal is your passion, your addiction and your downfall. When one prefer working with metal above anything else like socializing with friends or even go shoe shopping. Yeah, that’s me, SuZan. And metalistic is the perfect word I created to explain my sometimes strange behaviour to non-creatives that don’t understand my passion for my craft. I have worked with a wide variety of arts and craft mediums of the past 2 decades. But when I started incorporating embossed Pewter designs into my paintings during 2007 I found my true passion. Since then a lot has changed and evolved with the latest addition to sheet metal being coloured craft metal. Craft metal embossing combines the ancient art of metal chasing and repoussé that’s normally associated with metals like pewter and copper into a whole new exciting and modern craft using coloured craft metal. I have designed and created many projects to demonstrate how a variety of different textures combined with the colours of craft metal can be used to create beautiful pieces. I am co-author of the book “Mad About Metal”, Metz Press, publication date July 2016 in which you can learn all about craft metal embossing.
