| More About Me | Hello everyone, I'm Kat and I am the creator, owner, designer, and artisan of Blue Fire Accessories. Everything in my shop is handmade in Canada and I personally hand select every bead and material that go into my accessories. I create timeless accessories for women of all ages (or men via custom order) that I hope will make them feel confident, centred, special, unique, and beautiful. All of my pieces make wonderful gifts and are much more unique than anything you could find at the mall since they are all handmade and designed by me and are generally limited edition or one-of-a-kind. For example, since the environment is clearly very important to me, there will be one tree planted to the area most in need in Canada through Tree Canada's National Greening Program with every purchase in my shop. I started making jewellery at age 4 and sewed my first garment at age 8 and have worn jewellery – especially with natural gemstones – for as long as I can remember. My family was always very generous with me as a kid, letting me go through all of their jewellery and accessories and trying them on, playing dress-up, etc., so I have always had an affinity for them. I'm someone who generally chooses to minimize the busyness of my clothes so that I can wear as many accessories as I'd like. Ever since my childhood, whenever I wear or use jewellery, scarves or purses that were given to me as gifts, it evokes this wonderful feeling of happiness and makes me feel special and loved and always makes me think warmly of the person who gave them to me: I hope to evoke the same emotion from the receivers of my pieces. I pour passion into my business and every single piece is handmade with a detail-oriented love for creating beautiful and unique accessories.
