| More About Me | I live in the beautiful Huon Valley, Tasmania with my husband Dave and baby son Theo. I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. My artwork often begins with an HB pencil, to which I then add watercolour and fine line pen. I love the unpredictable nature of watercolour paint. It can’t be controlled perfectly which often leads to surprising results. My work is inspired by Tasmania and it's beautiful landscape, flora and fauna. I’m especially influenced by living in the Huon Valley - taking long walks and observing tiny details in nature that are often overlooked - including fallen leaves, feathers and twigs. Much of my artwork begins from items I’ve collected myself - books, leaves and countless pictures I’ve collected over the years. I also love old books, poetry, botanical art and nature-inspired pattern design. |
