| My areas of expertise that apply to handmade business: | Almost 30 years working in the fashion industry as a designer and patternmaker, now working freelance offering patternmaking and technical design - includingTech Specification Pack development services, surface pattern design development including yardage and placement prints for fabric industry, and developing my own line of PDF sewing patterns (which always ends up on the back burner as new client work comes in!). I've worked with many ragtrade and associated businesses, from small (including very small start ups) to very large internationals. I've seen production on the tiny scale in the backyard shed to extremely huge aircraft hanger sized specialist factories across Asia. So the expertise I offer my clients and projects is lots of experience in product development, lots of patience, endless inquisitiveness and a great desire to nail down the processes for client and factory to produce best product, in the most streamlined way! |
