Years and years ago (more than I can comfortably admit in public), I would watch my Grandmother make afghan after afghan after afghan while watching Murder She Wrote. She crocheted into her 80s, and would give away many of her creations to retirement communities.
She taught me my first double crochets and inspired me to share this practice with others.
