| More About Me | Once upon a time (1997 to 2003) I launched an online craft business . . . yes children, this was before Etsy, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram! I had to use rudimentary techniques such as html markup to create and maintain my website and eBay to make sales . . . oh the horror! Not really, I averaged 3 to 4 sales a day, which provided a nice income in addition to my full-time career. I designed personalized candy wrappers for special occasions and really enjoyed the opportunity to provide people with something that was unique, memorable, and fun! What happened in December of 2003? Well, I had a baby! I chose to close up shop and depend solely on the job that provided a consistent salary and benefits (sigh). My creativity and spare time was redirected to my son, who is now 11 and turning out to be a pretty awesome kid! But in the back of my mind, I always knew I wanted to build another indie craft business and was waiting for the inspiration to hit. Well it has and here I am ready to learn how to take it to the next level! |
