| More About Me | I established the business in 2009 with a friend. In 2014, when my friend moved on to other adventures, I still had much I wanted to create and achieve, so I became a sole operator. Six and Co is proudly a small, handmade enterprise that values creating beautiful, handcrafted jewellery and homewares. I designs each bead shape and each piece of jewellery, with the overall aim of creating beautiful things that make people feel special every day. Always drawn to a creative life, but led a split existence for many years, balancing work in corporate and professional services while filling my spare time playing with drawing, painting and designing. The establishment of Six and Co came at a time came when the desire to create could no longer be ignored. The experience gained in both Susannah’s creative and professional life prior to Six and Co has shaped her design aesthetic and approach to business. |
| My areas of expertise that apply to handmade business: | I have always been a maker and creater - drawing, painting, knitting, printing, sewing, writing, photography. I love to use my hands to make what is in my head. For a long time all this was just what I did in my spare time for fun. I have always done courses to develop and learn skills. Before the establishment of Six and Co I used to work in the corporate world in the area of Marketing. I have degrees in Arts, Office Management and Marketing. Although I'm happy to no longer work in the corporate environment, I find I draw on these skills and training to run my business. |
